Three amazing stories...

I have chosen these stories because are amazing, beautiful and simple, and the children (and me) love them!

A taste of the moon

It's an amazing story about some animals that wanted to taste the moon, but the moon was far away, and they couldn't reach it.

With the help of all the animals, little by little the finally, could reached the moon and tasted it.

We can make a lot of activities with the children. We can teach them the name of the different animals, the food that they eat, the importance of friendship and share the things...

We can teach them the lunar phases too, the difference between salty and sweet, some riddles about the protagonists of the story...

I have chosen this story because I love it and I think that the children can learn a lot of things, they can participe in the story (calling the animals for example), we can ask them about the next animal show them a picture, etc.

We can tell the story using the book, or we can draw the moon in a big piece of paper and paste the different animals as they appear, and let the children using it and play with it.

The very hungry caterpillar

It's a story about a little caterpillar. He is very hungry, so decide to eat a lot of food.

Suddenly, he becomes to a big, fat caterpillar, and finally... he becomes a beautiful butterfly!

With this story, the children can learn the numbers 1-5 (when the caterpillar ates through the different fruits), the name of fruits and other food, the transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly...

We can use the book, but we can tell the story using a puppet that is eating the different food. Then, we hide the caterpillar and he will transform in a beautiful butterfly (using another puppet).

Also, we can make a scientific experiment. We will bring caterpillars to the class, feed them and wait for their transformation. When they become butterflies, we release them.

Guess how much I love you

This story is about a little rabbit and his dad. They try to explain how much they love each other, but it's so hard to measure love...

They compare how much they love each other. At the end, the little rabbit says that he loves his daddy to the moon, and when he is slept, his daddy answer: and back...

With this story, the children can learn about the feelings, how to show their emotions, know about themselves...

They also can learn about comparisons: big/small, far/near, more/less,...

We can make the children participe when we are telling the story making the movements to seem little, big... and changing our position too (far, near...). We can give hugs and try to explain our feelings and emotions...
